Triple Drop's self-titled Debut EP. Chosen as Pick of The Fortnight in Hot Press Magazine by Jackie Hayden. www.myspace.com/tripledropemail

    ----------------------------------------------
    Triple Drop Offical Biography
    ----------------------------------------------

A dangerous energy, from where The Clash, The Specials and The Pogues left off, mixed with pumping back beats and dirty bass lines a la Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem, Triple Drop's live shows never fail to impress. An eclectic, dynamic band with great character they are straight to the point.

"There's a lot of subtlety about Triple Drop and their mix of punk, metal and ska.’In Your Smokey Little Room' opens with a dinky guitar riff and engaging vocals.’Extra Extra' gets more into fuzz-metal territory and pounds along, overflowing with a manic energy, a quirky Devo-esque feel and post-watershed words. It's brilliant and justifies its five minutes of your time. 'Radio' skates along as a frantic ska workout that’s more than merely infectious."

    - Jackie Hayden, chosen as Pick of The Fortnight, Hot Press Magazine.

"Strummer lives! It’s enough to make Terry Hall smile. Fecking good stuff. Thanks to the lads for writing some songs about this septic isle. Fuck the recession!"

    - Alan Corr, Feature writer/music columnist, RTÉ Guide.

Taking a page out of the DIY punk scene, they have a hard work ethic that leads them to relentless gigging and a set list crafted in bedrooms and rehearsal studios that ranges from punk to ska to dance and a hint of psychedelia.

Since forming in early 2009, they secured a residency in Eamonn Doran’s and went on to win Noise '09 Battle of the Bands, judged by Today FM DJ Paul McLoone, musician Catherine Dowling of Alphastates and music critic Chris Wasser. With no time to waste they spent the winnings transforming their live sound into their exciting debut single "In Your Smokey Little Room" and debut self titled EP recorded in Contact Studio.

The boys met in February 2009 and bonded like brothers. Since then they have played over 200 gigs around Ireland in Venues such as Whelans, The Village, Twisted Pepper, Crawdaddy and The Roisin Dubh in Galway and played support to acts such as The Dirty Epics, The Frank and Walters and Alphastates. Their self-titled Debut EP has done very well receiving airplay on RTE Radio 1, Today FM and Spin 103.8 FM among others. With an amazing Paraguayin new drummer Sergio who compliments this band’s sound perfectly they show no signs of slowing down.
